New engine = no speedo/gas gauge

So I got the engine replaced and now I seem to have two minor issues.

The car was on Kpro and sucked up water during heavy rains. I still drove the car and I'm pretty sure everything worked before it went into Honda. I've since replaced the ECU with my stock ECU and now I have no speedo and the the gas gauge is hopping around. Yes, thats right, all of my dash lights are on and the car thinks I'm sitting still. It's whack.

It can't be the ECU change because the pinouts for VSS/gas gauge are all the same. Think rainwater could have damaged these sensors?
