is it possible to put a b18c5 head on an b18b block? wud that combo be good or is it the b16 head on the b18b block the better choice?

yes its possible. It would require you to upgrade your internals. just search for ls vtec. Your probably better off just buying a gsr engine and swapping that.

wud that be cheaper to buy the gsr? i can get a b18b from a local wrecker for really cheap and get a b16a head from ebay for like $450 total or a b18c5 head for like $1500 lol

oh you can just buy a gsr motor for $2k.

the only thing going for the b18b is that the bore is slightly larger so you get a little more torque. you can do all that work on a b18b and probably just make the same power as a stock gsr with i/h/e

ls vtec is not a reliable motor. its a great motor but has alot of problems.
but if you do decide to do it here is the kit.

IMO i would rather a b16 or gsr. because a LOT of less hassle. but its up to you.

That link will explain it all. Take some time and really read it. After that read it again. IMHO ls/vtecs and b20/vtecs have a bad rep. Build them right and they'll treat you right.
