Door Mirror Replacement
Door Mirror Replacement
I need to replace the driver's side mirror assembly on my 2005 Civic EX SE. It looks like all I need to do is remove the sail panel. It looks like I need to pop off the cover for the tweeter, remove the screw(s) holding in the tweeter, and then pop off the sail panel. Is this correct?

Re: Door Mirror Replacement
more or less...
i don't have a tweeter in my sail panels, but yeah...
+ pop of the sail panel inside the car
+ remove tweeter (since you mentioned it)
+ may have three bolts that hold mirror (the mirror has three studs that poke through to be held in place by three nuts)
+ undo clip for mirror adjustment
+ mirror should fall right out!

Re: Door Mirror Replacement
Ha! What a coincidence! I needed to replace the driver side mirror of my 05 LX. Thanks a lot, this makes more sense now! Still learning my way around working on a car, so I didn't want to start on something and then screw up something else. I was wondering how to get the screws out...from the inside, lol.
Dealer wanted 120 to order it, plus whatever labor they deemed fit for the install. I'm wondering if I could have ordered 2 aftermarkets that look better for that money...oh well. Live and learn - at least I won't have a cracked mirror anymore!
