Adding Daylight Running Lights

First of all I would like to say hello to everyone here. I brought home my new Civic on Thursday and have already found a lot of valuable information here. I was wondering if there is a simple way to add daylight running lights to my 2002 Civic EX coupe?

Thanks for any help,

John

Yea that is what I was thinking too. I saw in the owners manual where the Canadian models had them and it showed two fuses for them. I thought I would ask before I tried to stick a couple of fuses in there and see what happens.

Do what I did for many years... and still do... turn on your headlights. I find the daylight running lights are too weak on most cars. And the idea is to be seen after all.

There's an insurance discount for DRLs right? I wonder if you can get that by saying you have a diy that always has em on...?

Or maybe I need to get some sleep..

LOL...I'll run that one by my insurance agent. It can't hurt since I didn't get any relief (discount) for the side airbags that cost me an extra $209.

Never really liked daytime running lights. My only problem was You Could'nt Turn Them OFF. Don't know about the new cars that have them, but if I were you, I would save the money and just turn ON your lights when you're driving. Great. Perfect. Problem Fixed.

On the US models you can't enable DRL just with a fuse. There is already a fuse in the block for it and they still don't work. We are missing something that makes it work. Maybe a honda tech would know what it is. I've been wondering myself how to get DRL.
