Re: Disassembling Side Mirrors

well.. all i can tell you is to remove the plastic sail panel, then unclip the wire, remove bolts, and the mirror is off. then to remove or replace motor... ?

Re: Disassembling Side Mirrors

i thought motor is in the mirror piece. take it off first then i think the glass carefully can be pried off to see inside.

Re: Disassembling Side Mirrors

To remove mirror assembly.

I believe the mirror is just glued to the actuator and can be pried off. I think you should probably take the mirror off first, but probably not necessary. My manual is in the car, I can scan the removal of the mirror if you need it.

Re: Disassembling Side Mirrors

Just make sure you firmly re-attach them. Because otherwise - when you're racing around from stop sign to stop sign, smoking those unsuspecting grannies in their stock Oldsmobile Cutlass Cieras, hazards flashin', fart can a-blarin' - its shake, wobble wobble, shatter, as your mirror impacts with the pavement.
