stupid, but quick cluster question

I've looked around, and done a lot of reading on cluster swaps. I understand that to put an 04-05 cluster into an 01-03 car, you would have to re-pin the connectors. However, all this info seems to relate to EX clusters being swapped into DXs. I swear I read somewhere that the wiring in all the 01-05 DXs was the same, meaning one could swap an 04 DX cluster into an 03 DX without re-wiring the connectors. Any truth to this?? basically, i came across a spare 04 dx cluster, and i was gonna use it to do LEDs in the cluster, but i've given up on this project for now. Now, i'm trying to sell it, and i have someone with an 03 DX interested, but he wants to know if he'll have to rewire the harness coming out of his car to install this. Any help is appreciated.
