Need help! Going to dealership, need info
So this morning I noticed that whenever I try to lock my doors using the power locks only the driver door locks. It happens when I use the lock switch from the inside and also when I try to use the keyless entry from the outside. Does anyone know what is causing my passenger door not to lock if I don't physically push it down. I'm going to the dealership in a few hours so any info provided will help me know whats going on so I don't get scammed thee. Thanks.

My car does that sometimes, but only if its really really cold outside. I have not had a problem with it this winter, but last winter it happen to me about 3 times. It never happens when its warmer outside. It only happens on my passenger side though.

Door lock actuator
Hey man,
The problem (as mentioned above) is most likely your door lock actuator. It could also be a break in the wiring. I work at a Honda dealership and on a very rare occassion, we have seen a break in the wire where it passes from the body of the vehicle into the door. This is because it is flexing every time the door opens and closes. Like I said this is very rare, but could be the case. Also, I seem to recall a service bulletin on Civics that have door lock issues in the cold weather. My best advice would be, go into the dealership, just tell them "my passenger door lock is not working intermittently, and i have tried it with both the keyfob and the switch inside the vehicle." Let them diagnose it, if you say anything about an actuator, than they may focus too much on that and overlook the real problem. This can take more of their time = more $ you have to spend. You could even mention that there might be a service bulletin, just ask the service advisor nicely to check for you.
Hope this helps
