2002 SEDAN final drive ratio:
DX/LX = 4.111
GX/EX = 4.412
2002 COUPE final drive ratio:
DX = 4.111
HX = 3.842
LX = 4.111
EX = 4.412
spec sheet also lists ratio per gear for 5sp if you need those details

Rep Power: 257 i would think that 2k rpm at 70 mph would be wishful thinking due to the lack of torque...but a slightly lower final drive would prolly lower your rpms a bit. maybe a custom grind 5th gear would be your best bet.
don't take my word for it though, i'm just a n00b

Rep Power: 257 nope...you need to do some searching on this topic. Not many will be willing to answer such random questions...
and believe it or not 3500 rpm really isn't that much for our civics man....they're built for fuel economy, not speed. remember?

Rep Power: 0 im actually looking for more fuel economy.. my friends saturn sc2, is at 2100 at 75ish, and our HP and torque numbers are comparable.
i dont know if its just me, but i can "see" my gas gauge go down as soon as i get to freeway spd (70mph in MI) let alone trying to pass... i was just curious what it would take to help this

Rep Power: 0 It is my understanding that the HX uses CVT trannies not tradtional gears.
