I bought my 02 EX in rallye red brand new. A few months later I purchased some 17"s gun-metal with the chrome lip. Then I got some H&R Pro kit springs, I installed them on the OEM shocks and struts. Sadly, a few months after that I started noticing that the back was dragging and the front would bottom out a few times. So I got HP Blues. Still the front would bottom out. Now the front knuckle bushings are gone! and I have to replace them. I kept the intake stock, but replaced the filter with a K&N, with some DC Sports Headers and a full Greddy exhaust. Little by little I started getting frustrated every time the car bottomed out, or also when driving home late from the club and the exhaust would be so loud. So shortly after I started selling everything. The only thing I have left on my civic are the HP blues that are on the car with the OEM springs and the H&R springs that are in my dad's garage somewhere in there. I love my civic being stock. Recently I was going to give it up for a 2007 328i, but I completely changed my mind because I dont want to go for another 5 years paying for a car. I decided to keep my civic. Now I'm just wishing it could perform better. So I'm thinking about converting the rear drums to discs (thats a maybe), replacing the headlights for some TYC projectors HID retrofit and OEM foglights. Finally, a short shifter and I'd be done. If anyone has ideas they'd like to share, let me know. Anyways, I'm at work so you can guess how bored I am to even be typing all this s**t.

maybe your strut has a problem. take alook agian if you have some kind of grease coming out. remeber, stock shocks is not made for aftermarket lowering springs... its gonna blow your shocks no matter what or how long.

It's nice to have aftermarket accessories in the car, but from my experience it's difficult. I used to get pulled over at least once a week, and I never raced my car. Cops here are horrible since everyone and their mother has a civic in miami, mainly young people own them, race them and crash them in the process. I have to replace the front knuckle bushings. I want to add HIDs but how much would a job like that cost me? I saw on eBay that the TYC projectors are about $100 or so. An HID kit could be anywhere from $100 to $200 or more I guess. And then to have them retrofitted in the TYC housing. That's a job that I have to learn to do.

yep been there done that........


started stock.......bought rims.....intake exhaust...lowered car with just springs.....springs sucked and had horrible comfort.....removed them........put on a lip kit....and bought tyc headlights and grill............bought new 17 inch black rims..........removed and sold the rims cuz the tread wore out to fast then removed lip kit cuz the paint started to chip.......then removed headlights cuz they fogged a little.....removed intake and put stock back on

now got 15 inch black rims, black grill, stock suspension, blacked out headlights....system and exhuast............ couldnt be happier small mods rides great looks clean !!!!

less noticable to cops!
