Question about the positive battery cables.
I bought an aftermarket battery terminal, it has allen key inputs for all kinds of different gauges of wire since I have a lot of things running from the battery stereo wise. I was also going to take the ring off the end of the cable going to the battery but there's actually 2 wires going into it, not just 1. Before I get into taking the terminal and wires apart, what are these for? And which gauge are they specifically? I thought there was just one wire, I may not have enough ports on the terminal I bought now.
One wire goes to your starter.
The other wire goes to your fusebox (All your accessories and things needed to keep the car running.)
They are 8 awg.
You can cut off the terminal and plug them in. Purchase a new aftermarket terminal if needed.. preferrably gold plated or platinum plated (Stinger Pro /Stinger HPM)
EDIT: Oops, I meant one goes to your starter, and the other goes to your alternator!! haha As soon as I hit send, I was like "DER"
