I'm currently trying to track down a d17 motor with ECU. I have a few ideas to make some power that I don't think have been tried before. I was wondering if anyone that has swapped motors still has their d17 and would be willing to part with it. If anyone has one, name your price. Someone who lives in or near Ohio would be great. Hopefully, between some mechanics, engineers, and programmers, we can make something work.

we are thinking of disrupting the signals that are read or developing a way to alter the sensors going into the ecu to read what we want them to read

not simulate a piggy back, more like force the stock ecu to read enough to make it happy to keep running without altering anything in itself, then altering things around the ecu so that it doesnt sense what is happening
