guys i'm gonna buy my springs but i want to know if they are easy to install...i mean could i do this myself? or better to get it done somewehre else? if so where? and how much money would it be to install the springs?

If you get it done somewhere, it will probably be right around $100. That's pretty much the average price I've seen from people and that is what I payed...

Man....I got Eibach Sportline Springs and I know this guy at Discount Tire who works on import cars on the side. He installed them for me for $100. He had access to a garage though. He had my car on a lift, and with his tools, it still took him like 2 hours. It looked hard...he was in the trunk when he took off the back springs!? I definitely recommend an expert install. From the looks the front looks tricky, but the back is straighforward. I lowered my sol myself, just had to rent a spring compressor for the day. If you have doubts though I would definitely get it professionally done. Peace.

the front would be hard to do by yourself....but the back is cake....just get one of your friends to help ya out....just be prepared to do 3-5 hrs of work...mostly on the front....

Hey MexMike one question for you man....did you get a camber kit or just an alignment for the Eibach Sportline? I'm thinking of what to get, a prokit or sportline, its just that I don't have enough funds to get a camber kit. Thanks for any info.

why is the front so much harder then the back? when i saw the diy it didn't seem that much harder... i just want to know what to look out for before i try it myself

I changed mine on a n accord a few years ago. It took me like 12 hours to put the lowering springs on. Later on I put the oem ones back in and it took like 2 hrs. There is a certain way they come out and it's only coming out one way. Once you figure it out, its a piece of cake. You do need a spring compressor though. I got a manual one from Pep Boys. Give them a $50 deposit and you get it back when you bring the tool back. That = free! The guy was in the trunk to get the top 3 bolts off the top assembly if I remember correctly. Just like the front only its covered in the back by the trunk carpet looking stuff.

HeyLerds.....I would recommend the sportline kit to you, the drop is about 2 inches maybe a little more. Your ride won't be as smooth but the looks make up 4 it. The guy I got to lower mine had a garage so he threw the alignment in 4 free. He had his own machine.

Springs are really easy to install. My took about three hours to install. Just go to any local auto parts store and rent your self a spring compressor and get to work. However, depending on how low you want to actually lower your car you should get a camber kit. Antyhing lower than 2" is when you might want to consider it. Lower than that can give you too much negative camber. Just DO NOT forget to get your car re-aligned when you lower it or you'll get uneven tire wear.
