If i were you i would bring it to the body shop to have it professionally done. NO matter why type of clear coat you put on it, it will never be as shiny or nicely done as if you were to have a body shop professionaly black them out. I did the DIY to have it blacked out and i even sprayed a whole can of clear on it and it still was dull. I gave it to my body shop after to have them tint the tail and it came out as shiny and nice as ever. trust me. Pay more the first time and you'll won't regret it.

This was my DIY. Dull looking isn't it?

This was by my shop...SHINY

The shops should charge you around 70-120. Depending on the shop. I got mines done for 80. Trust me, i would do it right the first time. I've had those dull tails on for over a year and everyday that i looked at it, it looks ALRIGHT, but i always wanted it to look shiny, as if it came stock like that. 80 bucks is a lot more than 18 bucks from the DIY, but imo its well worth it. So its up to you. Do it right the first time and don't go cheap on it. hope that helps
