Coilovers-- again

I'm new to the forum and have a question regarding coilovers. How important is it to go with something like GC vs Arospeed, for instance? Secondly, I've heard mixed feelings on whether or not to put in aftermarket shocks/struts (e.g. Koni.) The car isn't going to Autocross or go on any track--so does it matter?! Lastly, looking at the aftermarket kits I can see all of the coilovers are the same size. The stock springs are WAY larger in front then in the back and they also look like they are mounted at an angle vs. the coilover straight up and down install. Is this how it's supposed to be?

One more thing--am I going to get alot of noise from the coilovers when turning or hitting bumps??

Ive got skunk2's and on the front right whenever i turn the wheel it makes a knocking noise. I think the spring is turning with the strut bar too much, either that or i need to lower it more so there's more weight holdin the spring down... Any suggestions?

you can go to 4 inches, i think, im waiting on my camber kit to get here before i lower it anymore. the ride- people say it's stiff but it's all in your driving style as to what you consider uncomfortable and comfortable. The ride isn't bouncy at all and I have my stock shox in. Im not gonna worry about the shocks until i feel like it's really worth investing in some. Installation was pretty easy to figure out. I recommend skunk2's cuz ive riddin in ground controls and you can turn as crisp using gc's. Hope i helped.

You're gonna blow struts with either, so I wouldn't drop it that low. And either one is gonna be bumpy as hell with that kind of drop, so it really doesn't matter...

its dropped like 3.5 inches ...its not bumpy or bouncy at all. and if they do blow my shox, no big deal, ill get aftermarket ones. you ever riddin in a Viper? thats what i consider bumpy. just avoid potholes like you normally would and youll be fine.

It's all really about the same. gc's arent as stiff so you cant turn as tight when its lowered so low.
