You need the whole section.. like all of #2 on that diagram.. then the boot fits under the hondasilver ring that goes around the 5-speed shifter... we replace our auto section with the 5-speed section and just use a different auto ****
Hope that made sense

I just ordered the OEM boot assembly (along w/ the mirror tweeter pods for my sedan). It was only like $27 for the entire assembly, and the tweeter pods were only $5 each! Now I just have to find the shift **** and e-brake handle I want. . .

Got mine from www.hparts.com . Their service was great. They didn't have it in stock, so they ordered it from a warehouse in cali then shipped it to my job 2nd day air. Came in like 4 days.

I know this is kind of an old topic but I'm working on this right now for my car and I hoping some people can help.... I bought the whole #2 assembly from the diagram showed on the other page, and I got a shifter for an auto transmission from pep boys. I got the center console most of the way apart but couldn't get out the part that I needed to replace.... well I know now how to do that so my other dilema was how to get the boot to work with the shifter. I really didn't want to modify the boot if at all possible because if I don't like how this setup looks or whatever then I can still take it back to the dealer. Anybody have any suggestions?? Should I just give up and leave it looking stock? Thanks

Hey! Well congrats on deciding to do this . I have completed it but failed to take pictures while I was doing it. I was intending on writing a DIY for it. I may very well go back and take it apart and do it over again to get a DIY for future references with pictures and all. But for now I'm going to have to try to remember. SkiLLzSter, you can either email me (preferred) at brianhart@attbi.com or PM me on here and I'll help you with whatever you need. If you have specific things you need help with or if you want me to try to give you a general step-by-step (without pictures for the time being), I'll do my best. Also, are you replacing the shifter with an aftermarket one? I tried one shift **** and I decided to give the OEM shifter a try. Everybody said it wouldn't work and that it probably would look bad but it does work and I thought it looked awesome, my friends like it better too.... but to each his own. Let me know what I can help you with, and I will also try to get a DIY soon to put up here with pictures and all.
