muffler mounted weird? need help!

ok so i let midas put on this muffler... maybe thats the first mistake.. but anyways i think it's mounted weird. the back end of it is too high up? i went to talk to the guy that installed it and he says theres not way to mount to back end down without having the tip be moved up and he's all scaring me with the "you gotta sign these papers saying if it melts you bumper we won't pay for another one" i need help with defeating this guy and getting what i want for paying 100 bucks!!!! checkout the pics, see if it looks weird.

Its off center a little and might be a little too high up and you need to get it corrected soon if you dont the exhaust gases will start to burn the paint off

too high up?.. you mean the distance between the tip and the bumper?... i think it's a little too low.. i've seen some pics of other's cars in member's ride and they have it about .5 to 1 inch away from bumper and it seems ok ... still hella confused and scared to talk to this 300lb muffler dood at midas

lets start from the beggining....what the f*ck are you doing at midas????????.......sure those hammerheads can bolt on a stock corsica muffler on a corsica, but that's it......take it to a small shop, were they deal with custom muffler instalations....you can put the muffler really close to the bumper, just as long as it's not touching it you'll be fine.......don't go back there, just think of it as a lesson learned.....

My muffler tip sits right below the bumper. On both the exhaust sysytems that I have had the tip has been right below the bumper, and I have never had a problem with it melting, but if it touches the bumper then it will melt it.

Here are some pics of how close the tip is on my muffler.

it's probably too late for me to comment, but i will neways.

FIRST, NEVER HAVE MIDAS PUT ON UR MUFFLER. THEY FAKKING SUCKS!!! I had my 5 Zigen muff installed there and they installed it so that the tip is pointing downward (UGLY AS HECK). When i returned to the freaking shop they said it was suppose to be like that because H2O is supposed to come out. BULLSHYT!!!! When they fixed it (and i paid) the muffler was kinda straight but now, the pipe is too freakin low to the ground. Every time i drive by a glass mirror, i can see on the reflection the pipe from inside the car! When I got my Kaminari kit, I went to another local custom muffler shop to get it straightened out, move up the pipe, and lowered the muffler so that i won't touch the rear lip.

SECOND, MY muffler is kinda sticking out. The whole tip of my muffler is outside of the rear bumper and the 5Zigen logo could be easily seen. I think it looks phat especially when somebody views it sideways.

THIRD, NEVER EVER GO TO MIDAS FOR NETHING

well i took inca's pics there and the dood gave me a bunch of bs saying that inca's muffler is actually further back and his pipe won't get as hot as mine.. yeah whatever since the same air comes out of the end... don't think it makes much difference where you muffler is with heat. anyways i scheduled to get it redone tomorrow but he's not going to do it without me signing a release form saying if my bumper melts, they won't replace it... i'm thinking of just signing the thing and get it over with.... oh yeah btw i'm going to have them put the tip as close as inca's tip is.... should i really sign it? or just leave it alone?

What part of the bumper is going to touch the muffler? All you have to do is cut out underneath where it will touch. If you wanted to meet up somewhere I could show you what I am talking about.

Did your muffler come with those hangers or did Midas weld them on. Those heat spots look F-up.
