well ya i'm sure you can go find a locking mechanism and make it work somehow with alot of drilling and custom work, but why? the thieves are just gonna pry it open anyway. when they broke into my old jetta they just popped it right out and took everything.

not a theif..but maybe it would stop a nosey valet looking for a quick grab. or a car wash, oil change attendant. no, it wont stop some1 trying to get in - but it will slow them down that much more.
i wish i wouldn't have let honda tell me there isn't 1 with a lock when i pretty damn sure there is lol

Mount a lock that is used in filing cabinets.. the cylindrical lock with the long metal tab. That would work, but would be a whole entire new key.

^^dude that was exactly what i was thinking. i mean exactly what i was thinking. but i judt dont know how it would mount on the golve box. ill see what i can do. maybe ill make one.
and thanx for the input guys. ill see it it is more of a hassle of putting one on and still easy to get off ill wont do it but if it seems good and sturdy maybe ill post a diy. but i dont think many people will see it. i thinking of putting one on the compartment next to your elbow. ill get back to you guys if i actually put one on.
oh yea and the thief not trying maybe it will deterr the theif alittle because when I went to prom in san francisco we went in a van. we parked the car and left. when we got back the windows of 5 vans/suv were broken into windows smashed. yet none of the gloves were poped open. but that was my experience. good think i dropped all my stuff off at a hotel before. i got lucky

If it doesnt fit just use a dremel and a cutting disc to make a slot in the upper dash for the metal to lock into.
Great minds think alike.

my opinion biggest waist of money in the world it you put a lock there then your gonna have to replace the whole glove box because when they get done with it the glove box will be majorly ****ed up and i found i little hiding place by the ebrake a thing that you can pop out and it a little hiding place for like weed or something like that that is on my 05

i wouldn't be hiding weed there thats a pretty common place for cops to search if they go through the car. put it in the door panel from underneath.

what i do for hiding **** is put it behind the center consel where my indash screen and A/C controls are. when the shop installed it they never put the screws back in on the bottom (or where ever it screws in.) it still clips in really really tightly, though. i have to dig my fingers in from the top and give it a goood pull - but then i have a whole bunch of room to put **** back there.
it saved my *** 1 time - my friend had...ill just say a lot of pot a sheriff pulled out behind us. he started trippin out looking for places to hide it but i just told him to chill and i opened the spot up and he put his **** back there. the only thing that went wrong was the damn A/C was on and it was blowing the smell out! lol. but it worked out fine!
what spot behind the ebrake are you talking about?

we a had a few cars all set up to meet up and Circle K with our pranks ready.
the first car had a bag load of those tiny feeder mice. we were going to let them loose in the library and office.
the second car had tons of bottles of pancake syrup that we were going to pour over the floors and lockers.
the 3rd car had the most packs of jello ive ever seen outside of a store and we were going to pour those in their fountain.
the car i was in was in charge of buying tubes of epoxy so we could fill all the key holes to the classes and they'd be locked out that next morning.
well to make this short - some1 tipped off the coppers of where we were going to meet and they were waiting for us at Circle K.
luckily my car was full of stoners and we wanted to stop for something to drink before we meet up with everyone. as we were about to pull in the driveway of Circle K we saw every1 gettin arrested.
the point of my story - i had the bright idea to put the epoxy where you suggested in the sun roof cover. WELL, when we got out to get our drinks i stood up and looked over at the sun roof. the sun roof is GLASS meaning you can see through it at whatever is between the sun roof cover and the glass
the other point of my story - im bored at work and just wasted time typing this all out haha

it says if you put something above the sun roof cover you are only hiding it from yourself since a cop, standing over your car would look down through the sun roof glass and see whats above the cover.
btw - get a good look cuz i think its coming down this weekend haha
