Another Nitrous Question

I've always thought we needed a wet kit on the civics, as told by many who have it. However, reading the faq, it states that a dry kit is required due to the lack of a pressure-sensitive fuel regulator in our cars. So which is it

The FAQ is backwards, our cars need a wet kit, except for the new venom kit wich is a computer controlled dry kit. by the way NX is the best.

A dry kit injects nitrous oxide into the intake and increases the fuel deliver. It does not inject fuel with it, hence the name. A wet kit is usually drilled and tapped into the intake runners and injects fuel and nitrous oxide.

The main problem with adding a wet system to our car is that it is a returnless fuel system. Past Hondas, had a fuel pump that sent fuel to a regulator. The regulator adjusted the fuel pressure going to the rail and all the excess fuel was sent back to the tank. So you had a fresh supply of fuel and a return, so tapping into the system was fairly straightforward.

Now, you have the regulator and fuel pump in the tank. Only a certain amount of fuel is sent to the fuel rail, and it is barely enough to supply the engine. This is why all modifications have been slow to market. Without replacing the entire fuel system, there is no easy way to supply more fuel to the engine.

A wet kit can give more of a boost, but without the extra fuel, all we can get is a dry system for now.

Dude!!! I think everybody knows now that NOS is a company, I still like calling it NOS since it is easier to write then Nitrous Oxide, and probably i will keep on calling it that way even though I have Venom

rickinthescv,
You are so wrong it makes me wanna fuggin
. We can not use a dry kit because you cannot trick the computer into making the injectors spray extra fuel. By tapping into the fuel line before the fuel rail with a wet kit you make the computer supply more fuel because the fuel pressure in the fuel rail drops and the pump has to crank it up to keep the fuel rail supplied. All you noobs talking about nitrous when you dont know anything about it just goes to show how fuggin dumb you are. If you just take some time to learn before you open your hole you would save us all alot of time. Dont talk about schit you dont understand unless you wanna get flamed!!!!!!

Dude Let's chill with the bad a@@ words. I have a Venom 1000 kit and if I am not mistaken it is hooked up to injectors, but I am not sure if it controls them. From what I read in the manual it looks pretty safe and I ma gonna be using it. #1 - 2k1EXRacer, you couldn't have put it better, rickinthescv's info was so so wrong it made me wanna as well.
#2 - MyCivic - if NOS is so much easier for you to write than Nitrous Oxide, use n2o, same # of letters as NOS but your correct when you use it.

Just my $.02 worth.

Well......... Hmmmmm I think I was gonna say something nasty but anyhow -this one goes to all that hate when I use NOS - My N20 -happy???- kit is a dry kit and YES U CAN TRICK THE INJECTORS TO PUMP MORE FUEL. NEXT TIME READ BEFORE U GIVE AN OPINION!!!!! and IF U R NOT 99% POSITIVE OF WHAT U R SAYING SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And to prove that is my VCN1000, the module controls the ground of each injector and trough this the injectors stays open longer. So it look like it does control the amount of fuel sprayed in . You do not even know how tempted -however u spell it - to write NOS, I just can not believe that this simple three letters can iritate somebdy that much. LET THE NOS BE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!! Peace guys

All of you sound like a bunch of miguided women! I have reasearched this and researched this! Many people that have built and non built motors such as b16's and v6's and v8's have long debated the best nitrous system for horsepower, reliability and cost! We on the other hand have a limited selection for choices on nitrous systems! And you better not say that we need a dry system! Granted you may run a few passes here and there on a dry system but eventually the cars motor will run too lean for too long and it will spit rings, rods or toss a piston! you can trick the injectors to push more fuel ! but its only enough fuel to run a 35 shot safely! but tapping the fuel line and having a seperate fuel valve and a fuel pressure guage will take most of the worry out of your system! oh yeah and a good air fuel ratio guage! Not a autometer guage either! Thjey are know to be up to 25 degrees off true! So too sum up the facts that have been derived from many reliable and proven reliable sources is that a wet system is the safest and best horse power producing and easiest to manage system available for our cars! Settle for no less than a nitrous express 75 shot! just be safe! dakota
