Replacing an 01 gauge cluster with an 05

Is all the mounting and plugs the same for a sedan 01 gauge clustor and a sedan 05 gauge clustor? I like the style of the new one and was thinking of getting one. Any ideas on also getting the right milage on it? I guess Honda will do it?

Yeah I hope it will fit. If not does anyone have ideas to make the gauges look better without a big risk of messing up the cluster?

i can change the backlight on the older clusters for $100. Or you can put in the new style, the plugs are the same but you need to switch around the wires to make it work.

Can you post the link - I'm really not a fan of the orange look of my dash.
I don't think I'd go all out and swap the cluster, but I have thought about swapping the backlighting (or following Gearbox's DIY as it were).

...also, any suggestions on how to change the rest of the backlighting in the car, ie. in the center of the dash, heat/ac *****, ect.

you need to unlock each connector by prying the lock clip from each side of the clip. then pull with pliars or poke from underneath with paperclip.
