Cluster removal - help please

Is there a trick to getting the black surround off? I know you remove the two screws at the top then yank...but the bottom just won't budge. Are there other screws or clips holding it down? I want to get to the cluster behind

Don't just yank on the wires you'll strip them or rip/break them right off the connecter which will require you to solder them back on.

Get an extraction tool at a hobby store or you could use a small and long needle to push the tabs down and push them out.

there are little clips on the sides of the harness. You need to use a small screwdriver to pop this off, once you do, with a little force you can pull them out one at a time with your hands no tools needed.
