Has anyone switch throttle bodies?

most of the time this mod doesnt produce a lot of power; especially when you pay 400 for a BBK 68mm. i was wondering if anyone has switched to a 1.6or1.8 dohc throttle body. i'm think you may be able to get a GSR body at a junkyard pretty cheap rather than pay 400. anyone got any info? I am gonna look into this a little further.

wow, interesting mod. Love to see how it turns out for you.

and, yes, probably your best bet is any kind of import junkyard. You're always bound to find some kind of treasure there.

yeah, tell us if it fits or not. If it does, I'll put one on... bigger throttle bodies give you better throttle response and better engine braking.

Im wondering if our head is similar to any other B or D series motor, I would like to do a whole manifold, tb, swap if it would work. maybe a CTR manifold with 70mm tb, that would be cool.

honda makes a b17 (yes dohc) over in japan. i'm thinkin you could get one of them except it would cost a ton. the biggest tb size you can get is 70mm (these run on mustangs). normal performance size is 62mm but who wants that when you can have a mustang tb???

If you replace your throttle body it does more to help the intake of air, it can also give you a more responsive car.
