hi all. what brands do peeps rave about? which ones are crap? cheapest? bestest? AND, if i do a CAI or SRI, will this put strain on the exhaust (headers, header-gaskets, etc.) since more and colder air is being forced? thanks ahead!

i dont think they would make them if they interfered with other stock parts. The two main companys are AEM and INJEN. i dont know ne thing about INJEN. i have the AEM CAI. it works like a charm and sounds good. have had no probs with it either. it cost me 250. and its pretty easy to put in urself

Hey Dave,

Both the AEM & Injen CAIs are quality products that should yield a few HP and ft/lbs torque increase. Nothing major, but it will allow the engine to intake cooler, denser air, which in turn builds power. A good first mod for any 01/02 Civic. I have the AEM and like the quality, although it hasn't been installed yet. I've got some dyno time, so I'll post "real-world" results from the before & after when it goes on ... one of these days.

Good luck.

Yup Yup...You can't go wrong with either the AEM or the Injen. I have a AEM SRI now, and I plan on getting an Injen CAI
here soon.

I have the AEM CAI and love it. But yeah, AEM and INJEN are the main CAI.
