Nitrous Install DIY for 2001 Civic EX
Hey everyone! Got the new Honda Tuning magazine today and they do a Nitrous install on a 2001 Civic EX. Produced 43.7 extra WHP without a bottle warmer and a whopping 60 WHP increase when using a bottle warmer. All with a 50 shot boost!!!
in my opinion this is the most power u could get for the money u pay. im considering getting for my automatic instead of turbo because i only race when im forced to or for fun. so a turbo would be too much money and not worth. this kit isnt like fast and furious. it sprays automatically at wide open throttle. it also only sprays at wide open when the switch is armed. not bad in my opinion.

The article pages are probably a bit too big. Give it to me. I'll cut out the illustrations and scan the text out and make a DIY. E-Mail me at dobosz@wpi.edu with that, okay? The scanned pages have to be big enough for me to scan the text out though.

<< Yeah.. Did you read the results on the DC Sports header, TCS and DAC only showed a 5 WHP gain ! That's pathetic !! $1,000 bucks for only a 5 WHP gain. >>
If you look further back in the Mag you can see a Prototype civic that is kicking out 170 hp...... Although I'm not sure who put it together, there is another prototype by JUN.
<< delacampos,
When I talked with NX they said not to go over a 50 shot with our stock fuel pump. how long have you been running a 75 shot and what plugs do you run? >>
i've been running the 75 shot for a while now. 4-5 months? maybe longer? for a long time i used zex plugs but have since then changed to ngk's. both work equally well. i have yet to experience a lean condition in my car. i check my plugs EVERYTIME i use the n2o and they are always on the money. before i got a heater, they would read that i was running a bit rich. if you're worried that the pump will fail, get a fuel pressure safety switch. its cheap, easy to install, and will save your car.
