SRS light blinks when pulling CEL codes

When I jump the little connections to check my CEL code, instead of the CEL light blinking, the SRS light blinks non-stop. It just flashes on and off. I tried multiple times and each time, the SRS light blinks instead of the CEL.

This is a 95 Honda Civic EX
The connector I am jumping is blue with a green boot.
On the same wire loom is another connector with three contacts and is encased in some foam tape. I'm pretty certain I am jumping the right connector.

Anyone know how I can check my codes?

read this, it might help you. I am not really familiar with OBD 1 and jumping connections so I found this.

But also try checking out some older civic forums. Like www.clubcivic.com
