Hi

I just bought new tail lights and i cant get the old ones out!
Someone told me to pour boilding water around the old ones to break the seal and they would just pop out?

Do I have to remove my bumper to get at the tail lights properly?

Please help

hey, do you have a coupe or sedan? if you have a coupe, just pull back your carpet in your trunk and you will see the back of the tailight, now there will be 4 10mm bolts take those out and then your tail light will come right out. now if you got a sedan its pretty much the same thing except there is one bolt behind the bumper so yes you would have to drop the rear bumper.

it's simple to swap taillights. the only downside is you ahve to take the bumper off if you're ridin' in a sedan.

wtf???

Can't you just tell by looking at the set you're gonna put on right now? Didn't you notice the long bolts coming out of the back of the tail lights???

Dude definetly has no common sense. putting taillights on is the easiest thing to do, aside from putting windshield washer fluid in.

Don't need to pull the bumper out in sedan, just use a longer wrench to reach the screw behind the bumper as what I did.

thats serious. i bought some 01-03 stock tails from someone on here, to black out. anyways, i was almost done, that was the second one (first was done already), and i sprayed too much clearcoat, and it ran, so i decided to dab it with a paper towel, then it just got fvcked up and i scraped it off with a razor, and started over.

boiling water = bad idea

like others have mentioned, take the bumper off if you're in a sedan. you'll find 2 bolts holdin' it down.

in fact, for mine, i just pulled the top part of the bumper back so i could reach the bolts.
