Lock and Alternator Question
Ok I had my car hit on the front fender area. T-boned. I get my car back and my key doesnt work for the passenger side door or the trunk. it works fine with the driver side and the iginition. i dont get it. how can the lock just fail like that. any one have an expeirence like that?
another thing, my alternator makes a high pitched noise, after i got my car out of the body shop. has anyone had problems with their alternator? its not going to die is it?
thanks guys.

Not sure about the key situation, but if the alternator is making noise, then the bearings inside the alternator are possibly shot, also check if the belt is loose, open the hood and physically push on the belt and see how much tension there is. and check to see if the pulley is bent or anything. if it is ok, but there is alot of noise from it, it doesnt mean its failing, just possibly the bearings are going. You Would have to replace it or rebuild it for the noise to go away.
