DC Race Header Problem(Help Quick)
I have a 02 EX Auto, I am trying to install this stupid thing. When I try to connect the header to the downpipe, I cannot get it lined up at all. When I try to put it in the hanger it just makes everything worse. I was told that I would no problems and that's why I bought it. I am just extremely pissed right now. It doesn't fit between the tranny and the oil pan it looks like it needs another bend in it. If anybody has any suggestions plz help

No replies!! Anyways this is what happend the rest of the day... I called DC sports-he said he would call me back (never did). Got it close to being on, but by this point the thread in the header was jacked and the screws wouldn't stay in between the header and downpipe. So tomorrow take it to the local shop-ran by a bunch of jackasses who probably either 1) bent the hell out of the downpipe, restricting the airflow or 2) not be able to put it on and still charge an outrageous amount anyways. I'll keep every posted on what happened. Eventhough no body cares.

Oh yeah, don't give me that search crap either as you can seen I haven't made many post over the last year-because I haven't needed to. I am not just some noob. I read that search crap all the time. Most of the time by the question I can understand why people flame or what not. But if someone is a situation like I am right now, I am just so pissed-and there are plenty of knowledgable people on this site. I was just looking for some help or ideas

If it does not fit your auto, then get ahold of the vendor and ask for a refund. Its a VERY new part and you may be the first auto to attempt the install.

I wish I would have bought it from a vendor on this site. Instead I got it locally and seriously I'm in crap-hole PA and they are terrible here.
I tried to install the downpipe then header and it just won't go. I go wed. to get a custom fab piece made. If that works out I will be happy. I am no longer pissy because the welder said he can make a piece without having to bend the downpipe.

try loosening the bolts on the header and the exhaust back by the cat so you have some room to play and once you get everything all lined up, them tighten everything down.

I got it installed yesterday. It took 3 hrs(10 min to remove stock, 4 min to put on header, 2 hrs. 46 min to modify downpipe.) There is no way it will go on to an auto w/o modification. It isn't worth it. If you decide not to go turbo and want a header I would go with kamakize or the shorty HP and then just get a custom made downpipe/with or without a high-flow cat. The guy did an amazing job with the welds but in the end it just itsn't worth the money. For the DC Racing Header if you have an auto. And DC Sports never called me back either f' them
. So far the only real performance I have notice it goes up this steep hill smother now, but I think it is from not having a cat. to be honest.

It looks like he did not get it from robear. I was mistaken before.
On almost any mod on an auto (short of turbo or n20) you will almost fell nothing. that trans just eats it all up.
