O2 sensor wiring for 04 civic ex
O2 sensor wiring for 04 civic ex
Greetings,
I ran over a dead deer the other night and it ripped the wires out my O2 sensor connector that is connected to the cat. I would like to fix up the connector and be on my way as the dealer wants $480 for a new one. Problem is that I do not know what wire goes into what connector. On the O2 end there are two white, one grey, and one black. On the other end, there is a grey/pink, black/white, black/red, and white/red wire. Can anyone help me put them to the right connectors? Your help would be appreciated.....
Thanks, Mike

Well, if it's just an o2 sensor and nothing else.. doesn't sound like it for 400+.. then just buy the o2 sensor from honda for 50-70 bucks and pop it in, or have someone do it.

You'll need a wiring diagram... i'd just take it to a GOOD electrical guy. I had all my **** stop working when a shop did it wrong.. map sensor, both 02's gave no readings, the speedo quit on me, all because of the damn o2 wiring being wrong, it freaked out the system. BE careful or take it to a GOOD wiring guy/gal.
o2 sensor...continues..
Thanks for your reply,
The part is $195 (Bosch) on line but the dealer wants $485 for just the part.
I have looked at the part and there is no sign of damage to the sensor but the wires from the sensor pulled our of the connector housing. I can put them back into the connector but I need to know what connectors go to what. Your experience makes me hesitant to bug it out by trial and error. A shop wiring diagram would probably be the best for this....
