Is this part needed for pressure in my slave cylinder?

lol, what a stupid question. But, my new clutch slave did NOT come with this piece. Its in the pic, the little round plastic clip on the end of the clutch slave, by the ball that pushes into the shift fork.

Is this needed to keep pressure on my pedal? I cant seem to get pressure to my pedal after new clutch, clutch master and slave cylinder, new hard pipe (line) to the clutch slave, and flushed for all air bubbles. Still no pressure, the pedal flops down, and the slave cylinder rod wont stay in, its pushing the fork all the way like the pedal is down.

Help ASAP would be great, so I could order this part and hopefully have it here by Monday. I would have to order today, since the Honda I go to orders their parts on Thurs.

the plastic piece that looks like its sitting on his ring finger. right behind the end of the ball looking part of the rod. Has the slightly lifted part of the plastic down the center in a line, and has the u shape of plastic missing on 2 ends. I dont think I could explain any better, lol.

If this is confusing, let me know and Ill edit.

woud liek an further answer tothis as well Im having the same problem.............after a new master cylinder I no longer have any pressure in my line at all as well same thing happening to mine as yours.............I thought it was a bad Slave but who knows its going to the shop today anyways

You have to make sure its flushed like hell. Dont just use the method of bleeding the clutch (brake) fluid on the slave like everybody else says.

We had to use a pump from Midas to get the fluid bled nicely. There were way way too many bubbles when we were pumping the pedal like everybody else said to do.

If its going to a shop, just have them bleed the clutch slave, and you should be fine. The Master Cylinder needs to be bleed as well I would imagine, especially since its new. Any air in the system will give you NO pressure. I found this out after 3 months. Thats gonna be your prob. Either no fluid in the lines (or too many bubbles), or you need a new clutch slave and it will have to be bled as well.

yeah grab onw of those little pump bottles from Autozone and reverse it pump it in the line that normally goes in the slave cylined all the air should come out of the resevior
