preferebly use a impact wrench to take the bolt off or try hard with a wrench, that bolt is on there at over 200 ft. lbs of torque.

Have a friend sit in the car and put the car in 4th gear and press firmly on the brake... You still won't get it off though, need powerful air tools.

Getting it off with just a normal rachet isn't easy.

I dont know of any companies who recommend having the car run to try and remove a pulley. Please show me one company who recommends that.

It is dangerous and stupid to be trying to remove things with the car running. Why do you think manufactures always recommend removing the negative from the battery when working on the car? So it doesnt accidentally start. People are killed everyday because they try to take shortcuts when working on there car. they do it so they can bypass time, not reliazing the penalties of doing it. You may get by with doing it, but it would be more logical and smart to by the proper part to hold the crank pulley and remove it with a wrench or impact. Yes it can be removed with a ratchet, it depends on how strong you are. It would be easier with a impact, but not everyone has air tools at there house.

No One mentioned have the car running!!!!!
putting the car in gear while the car is off, helps hold the crank implace aswell as someone holding the brake also prevents the wheels from rotating, thus the axles will not turn, THUS holding the trans from rotating, while ingear holding the CRANK!!!!!!

And you disconnect the battery terminal so you can't short anything out...
I needed a 3/4 drive impact to get mine off, running 1/2 inch hose@200 psi. It wouldnt come off with a 2 stage craftsman compressor with a 1/2 impact so I had my buddy bring his trailer over, like a big *** one. Mine was an 02. dont put them back on that tight cause you dont wanna risk tearing the threads.
