hey guys just curious.... whats so great about carbon fiber hoods? do they just look good? are they lighter or something..??? cool the engine more? bah! i just dont understand the hype!

They look cool and they are lighter. I think they are a little more than half the weight of the other ones. Just a way to lose some weight. I know they make CF trunks too for some cars.

Nah, mine doesn't scratch. It has this really hard gel coat on it. Just wash and wax and it should look shiny as all hell.

how much did ur's cost? and where did u get it? a few months back, my friend jumped on my hood and left a dent on it, since then, iw anted a new hood. anotherthing is, does the hood come with the squarters predrilled? and what about water spot? i got a black coupe,a dn the spots are killin me!

the kaminari hood is 895... i got a cf hood, its way lighter... and i need to get some hood pins to hold it down, mine kinda rattles when i'm going fast

I disagree with Diznavis, I think the hood looks sweet with Grey or White, but i love it when it is one a blue car. I want one but i have a black car and don't know how it would look.
