No More Mirror Rattle!
No More Mirror Rattle!
Ok so I found that my mirror plate on my M-3 was starting to peel off and flap a bit. Even before this the mirror would vibrate violently when driving normally on the highway and everyone behind me looked like a blur.
So I went to HD and got some plastic epoxy and pulled the mirror plate off one side. Put a think film of the epoxy on it and slapped it back on with some tape to hold it for a few minutes. Drove it the next day and viola! No more vibration.
I dont even mean like still a little bit, there is absolutely no vibration or motion from that mirror even at 100+ it sits still, radio blaring...sits still. I plan on putting the same application on the drivers side soon. Do one side just for kicks and you will totally see the difference.
Just be careful pulling the plate off so as you dont break it in half.
