Ester based synth oil???

Ester based synth oil???
Are these oils safe for our cars. Oils like Motuls racing oil? Their website says its ester based. Just wondering if its safe to use in the Civic or purely used in motorcycles.

Rep Power: 0 I know a lot of people who've used Motul w. no complaints, synthetics nowadays or excellent oils, personally I use Mobil1, some people swear by Amsoil or Royal Purple, you'll find countless varieties.
As for being ester based, that doesn't really mean much, ask anyone who's taken even a low level university organic chem course and they'll tell you that you can turn alcohols into ethers into esters, into whatever you want
