hey what are the advantages of getting the K&N over a cheaper one, like STP or FRAM?

the K&N is like $40, and the cheaper ones are ~$12.

you can wash the K&N so you never have to buy another one, just the $7 cleaning kit. and the K&N flows a little better, but that debatable. but they do have a million mile warranty.

Um I would get the napa gold and change it every year. It filters alot better than K&N and it's very good quality (manufactured by wix inc).

Get a K&N. And you should have changed your filter twice by now.
