http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

anyone had experience with these? I only wanted a very light coating, wondering if this is the easiest rather than using niteshades + a gloss coat. thanks.

I wouldn't trust it because quite frankly... I can't read the bottle. Plus i've never seen anyone use that "brand"
BTW... those pictures he provided are photoshoped pictures... so for all you know he's selling you black paint.

Don't buy it

i've used it to black out my friend's tail lights, and even brought the orange can aswell for other things. its a great product and works fine. all you have to do is take out your tail lights and clean the surface very well. then do light even sprays. once you get it to the darkness you want then just let it dry. its pretty damn durable too, no fading at all after 1.5 years. oh make sure you do it in a well ventilated area and dont have anything around that can be stained by the paint. when i did mine, the wind took the excess paint and totally stained the floor and walls and table, etc.

It's just spray tint. they use to sell some at pepboys and different autoparts stores. I think's theres a certain art to getting an even shade, It's not like working with tinting film, where you know everything will be a certain darkness. Check around at the different auto stores... ask for spray tint. Just be real careful... don't fudge up your lights.

Stick on film is impossible to use. I tried it with a friend of mine, impossible to get it around the curves without bubbling and folding. Spray it.

The bottle on Ebay says, "Smoke Tail Spray". I can read it fine. I painted most of my taillights black, and I am getting tint spray for some other parts of it. They look sick right now. They are my old alteezas, but will look nice when all blacked out. I used a krylon plastic paint (black), and put a clearcoat on top. Ill see how it holds up, not to sure yet. I just need to find tint spray. I can not find it anywhere.

the finish after the spray dries is relatively smooth. it'll hold up to the elements without any clearcoat, so you dont have to worry about that. if you decide you dont want your tail lights dark anymore, just use some paint thinner. the first time my friend and i did them we actually messed up and the paint thinner took it right off. i'm not sure how easy it'll come off after you've had it there a long time tho...
