W T F!!!

so it's raing like hell this morning, and I'm driving on this road thats about to become flooded in about a hour or so, the water wasnt high, maybe 3 inches deep or so for about 2 blocks, I hit the water at about 45mph and my car slows down and almost wants to stall bit it doesnt, then suddenly the yellow engine light on the left part of the dash just above the temp gauge comes on, (not the maintenance light), it flashes for a few seconds then turns off, so what the hell does that light mean? I know I should look that Freakin manual, but I dont have it with me.
