I've done that too. Don't feel bad, its only about an hour swap. You'll probably have to replace the map sensor as well, I did, I also bent the throttle plate.

am using a wet kit 75 shot and am guessing that fuel puddled at the manifold plenum and then it back-fired when i let the gas off

Yep. I destroyed the map sensor when it exploded, so you may want to look into that too.

hmm i sprayed a 75 on my auto 02 lx a bunch of times like 3 bottles worth and never had that problem. hell i sprayed from a stop a bunch of times when i'd race and still have no problems did you have the nozzle placed too close to the throttle body? Also is yours on a push button or do you activate it and then it sprays at wide open throttle? mine was set up on a wide open throttle switch so when i'd spray from a stop it would shoot to 3k rpm's and everything was fine.

Fuel won't puddle in the manifold, its injected directly into the head. N20 can't puddle in the manifold either, its a compressed gas and will expand.

Most likely what happened is that somehow you were still spraying when you took your foot off the gas.....

i don't know the nozzle could have been placed too close to the tb.
