i spoke with a local shop of mine and they said that they could fabricate up a small ati centipetal supercharger and watercut billett aluminum brackets, installed with dyno tuning for $4500, but if i had that much money i would be riding with a k20, not a stoopid d17., well thats my $.02

honestly my opinion is this... if they were to make a supercharger for our cars i'd jump on it in a second because i too have an auto and i think the transmission would last longer than it would with the turbo becase i know with the turbo auto guys they are have problems with their transmissions givin out. but i don't know the same results might happen with the sc but who knows for sure since there isn't one.

itd prolly go sooner with a supercharger since theres more power throughout the rpm band. the T3 turbo, which most ppl seem to use, kicks in at around 3000rpm so during normal driving theres no aditional strain on the transmission.
the thought of turbo lag is a turn off fo rme getting a turbo. yeah its more efficient in that it runs off the exhaust........but a supercharger is instant...i hope osmeone makes a supercharger for our cars.
