large magnet 04 civic

Hi i bought some 6x9 kenwoods Excelon x-698 and took them to be installed and the guy installing them broke the crossover try to get it in my 04 civic.. he said there is no way of fitting it. If anyone knows how to get a large magent to fit in a 04 civic please let me know.

ask him why they won't fit. In my car, I had to remove the trunk springs in order to fit larger-magnet speakers. That should be the only limitation on the magnet size. Do the trunk shocks DIY and you'll be set.

6X9's suck, just go with a decent set of front component speakers and you will be fine, rear fill messes up the imaging, and you won't benefit from it....

Do a trunk shock DIY -or- try to make some spacers....

Can I get a mod to move this to ICE & Electrical??

Also, why do you have a crossover for 6x9's?

the 6x9's have a built on crossovers, the the guy said the magnet is to big to fit into the hole?

There's no way a magnet will be bigger than the frame(means, the hole also)...
