Would this not require rotating the engine 90 degrees and adding a transfer case and front axle?
Reworking both the entire front AND rear of the car?
Naw don't think it's gonna happen, for less than 20 grand at least

i heard of a rwd integra that drifts. it used the standard GSR B18 engine, but with a previous generation CRV transmission (the CRV with the B20) and transfer case that transferred power to the rear wheels with custom axles.
so since the new CRV uses the K24, and assuming that the CRV K24 4WD tranny will bolt right up to lets say a swapped K20A2, you could have a 200 HP 4WD civic, that is, with lots of modification

If nasa wanted to do it Im sure they could
but I think your out of luck
the awd in a crv is different form those of an evo or wrx, crv was ment for "off roading" not handling the road at high speeds, but if you could get a new diff for that kind of traction that would be one sweet setup

However if your looking to launch like an Evo then I hate to tell you that just looking at the civics AWD system, that it is very weak. A mechanical AWD system is the strongest, a viscious clutch AWD system in the 2nd strongest. And way way for back in last place in a fluid pump AWD system is by far the weakest.
