Anyone know if I can tell what engine is in the car from the vin #?

m looking at is JHMBA814XNC003546 can anyone tell me if it's got the right engine

Well if the car your looking at is a Honda prelude, then a H22 engine should be in there.

Not only can you tell what kind of engine it has, you can tell when and where it was made,body style etc. The haynes manual explains it in detail.
