Rep Power: 788 Not that it matters considering you have a civic, but did you change the vtec engagement point? I tried that and the engine didn't feel or sound right. Made growling sounds when the vtec should have been on but wasn't. So set the vtec back to stock.
Either you didn't hook up the wires properly, or you didn't do the initial setup like I keep telling you! Disconnect the battery, reconnect it, and turn the car to ON (do not start the engine). Now you need to adjust the settings on the vafc.
As far as initial setup...
Just before doing initial setup, while turning ignition on press gas pedal down for 10 seconds, then release for another 10 seconds before moving on to initial setup settings step. This step takes care of step 6 below...
1. Sensor = 06 & 06
2. Cylinders = 4
3. Throttle Voltage = automatic
4. Throttle Type = Arrow pointing NE
5. VTEC Type = 3
6. See above...
7. VTC = N/A
8. Turn off ignition and your settings get saved
