Hmm... THey told me that if I ever lost my card then they always have the number. I don't think you should be charged for it though, since its YOUR code for YOUR car that you're buying. It's not like you're making them do any service, except looking up numbers that they should have filed on the computer or something. But, I guess the only option is to try to go again and wait, or maybe another Honda dealer may have it...? Good luck bro. Worse case scenario, buy a new deck :P

The code is not IN the glove box, but somwhere on the side, usually. A little white sticker with some numbers on it, one of them a 5 digit number.
No, they should NOT charge for the code.
Look around all the nooks inside and around and under the glovebox for a white sticker again.
I have instructions for getting the code out of the radio somewhere, I'll post it if I run across it again.

It comes on a card... looks like any other credit card or whatever... and mine came in the ziplock baggy thing that held all the stuff like owners manual, warranty info, blah blah blah, and radio code card... it's white with blue lettering on it...
lol i found that sticker when i got my civic, dealer gave me the card also. I ripped up the sticker in the glove compartment as fast as i could, lol i'm sure many people have left that sticker in and just makes it easier/worthwhile for thieves.
Funy thing also is when i took delivery the salesman wrote my key code along with radio code as "courtesy" inside my owners manuel and told me to keep it in the car. (incase of anything) (anything like my car getting stolen)

You might as well write the number on the dashboard - who the hell would steal a factory radio out of a Civic? They're completely worthless, and it'd be difficult to make them work with any other car.

Take a deep breath... Count from one to five slowly and count back to 1 slowly. Take a deep breath again and let it out slowly. Are you guys calm now?
Ok this is not rocket science, open your trunk, now look under the trunk, you will find a small sticker with a five digit number. That is your radio code.

nope..juss checked the trunk..all i saw was my vin #...o0 well the dealer never gave me the radio code..perhaps they have it stored in the computers..i will check it out when i go for my oil change
my 04 LX came with the credit card thinggy with the code in it.
Also, to help me with the code in case I lost the card, I have it on my Honda Owners Link and I dont have to write down the number to my owners manual.
Like what VTEC01EX said, what are the chances that someone would steal a stock radio anyway[?]

Who wants it???
That's why I'm keeping mine.

*edit* The radio code is a hash of the serial number. There are websites which will calculate the unlock code based upon the serial number for a nominal fee of $20 or so. Also, I'm pretty sure you don't need to remove the radio to find out the serial number.

OK, found it. This will display the radio anti-theft serial number.
1. The display must read COdE to get the serial number.
2. Turn off radio.
3. Press and hold #1 and #6 buttons, and turn on the radio. The radio will display a U and four digits. For example, U1004. These are the first 4 digits of the serial number. Then the radio will display an L and four digits, i.e. L8564. These are the last 4 digits of the serial number. Write these down. Honda can enter these digits into their service computer and get the corresponding code for you.
Hope this helps.

^ I wish I knew that. I just disasembled the middle dash and got the serial # of the back of the radio. Honda has a sheet that has all of the codes for the stock radios. You have to show them a serial # and prof of ownership of the car. And it is free.
