I live in San Diego so was wondering if I could use mobil 1 full synthetic, cause weather stays cool all year long

Why do you think you couldn't? I use 5-30w Mobil1, did you mean 0-20w?

If I am correct, the "0" of 0w20 oil stands for its thickness when cold. For a thicker summer oil, you would want to use 0w30, am I right on this? I think I am, but I am getting a bit old...I use 0w20 Mobil 1 year round...too lazy to change I guess...

multi weight = It's range of viscosities
My neighbors race many things and swear by single weights. I dunno.

If it were me, I would put Mobil 1 5w30, but that goes against what Honda is saying for the 04 Honda Civic's. Synthetic is much better at dispersing heat than dino oil, I think 10w30 syn would be overkill, and may even be too thick for our engines. (May run crappy)
