k24b??

i was reading up on the k24a on the accords. it mentioned sumthin about a k24b. anyone have a lil more info on that?? and then it mentioned it only used 12v when vtec is off and the all 16v when vtec is on. can anyone explain that? another thing.... whats the difference between the i-vtec and the vtec?? which is better??

The K24's come with the same head as the A3 and only have 12 valves open at ,or before 2300rpms and 16 valves afterward. Dont be confused because this is not true V-tec ,or i-vtec. Vtec operates when certain rpm hits the Vtec cam lobe takes over operation. The K24 and A3 motors dont have true Vtec. If you want true Vtec you should go with building a frankenstien motor, and going with a k20A(DC5R), or k20a2(Type-s,CTR) head, and ecu combo because these are the only K-series motors that have true Vtec.
