Question Leaving out airbox???

Hey there, I just registered not too long ago, I have a 2002 civic LX coupe, should have gotten the Si,,,,,,but I was cleaning under my hood,,,,,washing off the road salt from the winter, cleaning the terminals and stuff and took out the airbox, but left the one with the air filter. will this do any harm,,,, it gets a nice grunt and looks less cluttered under the hood, and does it make any more power leaving it out? thanks.

I am gonna sat no because the box is not the part that restricts air. The piece where the air filter sits is restrictive. Just look at the air filter. It is one of the most weird looking little filters you will come across.

As long as the filter is still there I can't see it being a problem.
