When I was stationed in Monterey CA and have to travel through Bakersfield (BearMountain) there's this 6-10Mile Cow Farm and the whole friggin way smells... Cow ****....
I never had a problem with my AC since the temperature was pretty low here in Vegas, but not recently, it went up to 94+degrees for about a week now and when I turn on my AC it smells like cow **** for 5mins or so until the cold air comes out of the vent....
Is there any way I can get this fixed? is there an air filter for the AC somewhere that I could get it changed/fix?
Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated..... Thanks!!!

This is a little off topic, but is the Honda dealership the only place you can pick up a replacement filter?? I been meaning to replace it, but I know the dealership will charge a crap load more than if I could buy it at a local shop, but I havent found them at the local shop =\.

I recently changed mine and got a pretty good price. Just go to handaaccesories.com I think that is the site.

u know my friend had a truck and during the winter on night a cat climbed under the truck into the engine i guess to keep warm. and guess what .
he turned on the truck with the cat in there and he didnt here anything and guess had there for days and when he had the ac on it would smell really bad. suprised when he checked his engine bay

Go to target and get some air freshener cans and wave them in front of the AC as it blows out, makes your car smell GREAT. I do that in my VW but I dont have a cow **** smell problem. I'd rather smell Tropical Berry than... Slightly old car.
i know what youre talking about pnoyster2k1cvic, i travel from socal to norcal several times a year. filter is probably the first thing you should check. tons of ppl use air fresheners, but that only covers up the smell, the stench of cow crap is still there. also im not sure if air fresheners are that good for ones health cuz youre just smelling chemicals, about as good as smelling dryer sheets.

i tried that, the longest on my record is 1min 5sec
Anyway, yes I did change the freakin filter and it was filthy as hell, the smell is still there, but we'll see if it'll stay there for a week, and probably try the lysol trick, and hope I won't blow my car up
simple solution dude
Man, make sure your recirculate button is pressed in ! (to the left of
the a/c button. This will solve your problem. no more outside cow air
coming in. If you have already changed your a/c and pollen filter then just keep
that recirculate button stay in man!

you can go to pretty much any auto parts store in the refrigerant section, there's this stuff I think it's called frigi-fresh or something like that. Just spray it in where your car intakes the air for the a/c, right below your windshield wipers, while the air is running, stuff works wonders.
