ok, just would like to have ur thought & let me know if i might be right

as far as i understand the civic coupé EM2 NON-VTEC (like the HX & LX model) got D17A1 engine & the EM2 VTEC (EX) has got a D17A2

in europe we only got one type of civic coupé EM2 2001-03 which is a 1.7 VTEC
so it means it would be a D17A2 engine

do ya think that's correct?

In Belgium , you've got two models , the e-vtec and the non-vtec .I've got one without the vtec . That's the em2 (coupe) d17a8 , 120 hp . The vtec version has 125 hp .

The HX has a D17a6, it's a VTEC motor, just tuned more for economy where the EX motor is tuned more for performance
