How can this be possible? Exhaust sound-

Before i got my axel back system, I unbolted the muffler and pipe to gauge the sound level and it wanst very loud at all. I put on the axel back and its LOUDER! WTF?

I love it and am pleasantly surprised, but how can this happen?

I believe the resonator is what makes the exhaust quiet. That and the smaller pipe opening.
