You can be pretty sure you've got a piece of **** on your hands.
BTW, Injen never replied to me regarding this or the gash from the fender liner. Always nice to know that people stand behind the products they sell.

No, there's no step by step. Its not hard to figure out... no parts were modified in such a way that it can't be easily replicated. The biggest pain in the *** is moving the battery, the airbox drops right in.

my cold air extension got a hole in it from rubbing near the battery. I dont know if it was a perfect fit. I bought the intake right after I bought my 01. Is that what happened to yours?

Dude I think you did it right really thought through at least. These aftermarket guys are making all this cheap stuff and selling for high prices. Like a cold air intake for + $200. THe darn thing is just a metal pipe with a filter at the end of it. The stock air intake system is far more advanced. I like your idea but I'm hesitant to move my battery to the back. Do you think the current DC5 Integra air box will fit in our vics without moving the battery? I wonder if it has the same characteristics as your filter. How come no resonator?

The DC5 box is rather large... its also set up to be on the left side of the engine, requiring you to flip it upside down in order to make it fit on the right side of the car.
With the way the engine bay is laid out, you almost have to pull the battery out unless you can get something slim and long that can lay over the top of the transmission. Its also got to be skinny (less than 6" wide). A Civic Si (EM1) box could also be used, its a little different, but would fit in the same place.

The Acura RSX Type S airbox has a cone type of filter.
Hondata says you can gain 2-3 hp on a rsx Type S if you cut this area out
The result of these modifications is that the air as it enters the box expands and slows down, which makes it easier to enter the filter.
Anyhow here's the link

I wonder how this would do in our civic.

So how hard was it to relocate your battery to the trunk. I haven been thinking about doing the for a long time jsut for the same reason your injen intake got screwed up. And try to rip off that flat bracket that hold the battery in the first place. It will also make the engine bay look cleaner I think also. Boiler how much did it cost and how long did it take.

If you can run stereo cables, you can run the battery wires, the summit kit gives you everything you need to get it done. It took about 2 or 3 hours because I had to figure out how to get the interior apart to run the + battery cable under the carpet, If you run it under the car, probably less time, but I didn't want that much cable exposed to road hazards. The battery tray is held on by 4 bolts, then the tray lifts right out.
That is what I needed to Know thank you very very much. I bet you can do it on your own well besides the box because all you would prob need is just 4 gauge power and ground cable and battery terminal connectors. HOw long were the cables they gave you. HMMMMM sound like a little home project.

20' of positive
3' for ground
I'd say you need about 15-17' for the battery and 2' for the ground if you ground it to the bumper support under the car like they recommend. You can buy the battery box at Wallyworld for about $8 by itself.

Boilermaker do you think I could use the stock airbox of an rsx type S? Its got the cone type of filter.
I'd probably be able to get one of those If put a little effort in searching for one.

AEM is very good with service and good to know that Injen isin't good with it cause i was thinking about geting a cai from them but i guess not. Well i just picked up a integra ls air box from my freind along with his stock exhaust (using it for some piping on my axel back) for 10 bucks. I want to try to place the box right infront of the battery in the engine bay just to sturdy up in intake cause it moves alot when i shift and such. Ill post pics once i get er done.
I just finished mine....I got the box to go infront of the battery using the aem sri and filter.....anyone wanna see a pic? It deff makes the intake tone alot lower and i think it sounds alot better, i feel no diff tho.

well I don't see how you're gonna fit it in the hole, the hole in the stock airbox is designed for something to go into it, so is the B18 arm.... I suppose you could clamp them together with a pipe inside, but the stock airbox has no lip on it and its hard plastic. More than anything... I don't see the point. If you want to run resonatorless, then just get any old pipe, the bend in the integra arm isn't really intended for that.
